When it comes to digital marketing, it’s both art and science, personal and business. Here are a few questions I’ve used with clients to help them think about their content and hone it to be more effective.
1. In sales meetings or when customers/prospects call, what are the most frequently asked questions you or your company receive? (Answer this for each product /service that you are marketing.) Then, consider: Does your digital content currently address the most FAQs? If not, how could that be done using video, blogs, email campaigns, and/or text/image posts?
2. Picture your best customer. What makes them love your product/service or brand? How can you expand on that value and share it?
3. Look at a recent post or video and ask: What emotions will people to feel when they view the video or read the post/blog/email? If you aren’t sure, how can you edit the content to evoke emotion? [Emotional connection makes content stick!]
